Ok. So the mod of one of my gaming forums has been in charge of the forums that are UBB threads for almost 10 years now. WE are on version "Powered by UBB.threads™ 7.5.4.1" He is to lazy to update the layout and it very hard to read and looks like crap. I've spoken up about how much [censored] it looks like and the potential it has to look nice. HE thinks I'm lazy and will half ass it so he won't give me OPs to try and make it look nicer and seems to not trust me. Just wanna throw this out there. I know how to use the search function, but immediate advice is nice.

My noob questions are:

1.If I somehow get a demo is editing layouts that difficult and applying changes real time? Can I [censored] stuff up? Back it up?My html skills are sub-par, but I leran fast.

2.Are there any mock websites to creating your own layouts?

3.Anyone have any suggestions to one up this guy and create what I have in mind?

Here's what crap it look like. And he even uncludes his name in this link!!! http://www.tucu.net/~stretch/ubbthreads

Well, if your CSS skills aren't that good you could hire someone to make a style; i for one have a bunch of ubb styles available.

The styles aren't that hard to make, it just takes time and knowhow to put css into the editor and update it, it's fairly straight forward if you've worked with css before.

You can see some free styles at http://www.ubbskins.com/ it's run by Rick of the UBB.

BTW, the skin he's using is the default "dark" skin that ships with the UBB
