(Ahh, simple URLs. [Linked Image])

Anyway, that's my UBB. Yep, the freeware. But it acts like the full version--as in I've hacked it to death.
The only really unique feature I have is user oriented name deletion. As in, if someone double registers, they can delete their name. My users like it, but other owners might not.

So, what'cha think?

That is totally awesome! If I hadn't known in the first place (nor had I seen the copyright footer), I definently wouldn't had realized that it was the freeware version.

It looks cool, congrats!

Some newbie hack questions:

On the main forums display page:

1. How/where to make the table coloms [topics | posts | last post | moderator] a fixed width, while keeping [Forum] a variable width?

2. How/where to color the tablecell which includes the no new/new posts icon (lightbulb)? Normally this is left transparent in the unhacked ubb version.

Thanks.

Now, all I have to do is fix those darn Y2K dates. That should be done tonight.

Thanks everyone!

I'm assuming you mean having the first forum name cell be 250 pixels, second 200. Correct? Well, to do that, you'd have to split each row into a new table. Then, you might want to have a control panel option where the widths are set.

Just find the cell that has the lightbulb, and change the background.

Sorry about being unclear here, as I wasn't exactly sure what you wanted. If this is, tell me. Please note, I have the freeware version. So variable names might not be the same, etc.

Yes ED, that's exactly what I mean... I only cannot find the particular code in the files. So if some one can point me out where to search, thanks a million.

BTW I'm using a reg. version, but I asume it's the same as the freeware version.

I'm debating about it. It's relatively easy to install - just some subs and a link. So, I'll think about it. tipsy

Your freeware board looks great. I also have one, and I am wondering if you could help me set mine up like that. My email is jessture@netzero.net, and my UBB is right here.

Thanks a bunch.

I've seen it and all I can say is WOW!! It seems that it's impossivle that that is the freeware version!

Are you planning to make your own ALL Hack?
Posted By: Ed Sullivan Re: My hobby, but its free... - 03/04/2000 1:57 AM
Sorry about not replying to some old questions in this thread, I kinda forgot to check this forum for a while, and, thus, never saw this thread come up after Slurpee [Linked Image]

Greg - If you still want them, go ahead - use all you want, except for the logo. That's kinda proprietary anyway.

Doc - Not exactly sure how. Perhaps I could though. [Linked Image]
