Hey Allen, Gizmo

Looks like you guys are getting bored in here.

I changed servers lst week and all the configs, new paths and URLs, I got the CP working but that is the farthest I can go, I get a "500 Internal Server Error" message when I call my ultimateubb.cgi.

the header on the file says:

Code
#!/usr/local/bin/perl

# Whoops! If you see this message in your browser, your web hosting provider
# has not properly mapped the .cgi file extension to Perl.
#
# Please contact them for more information. Mapping .cgi is easy for both
# Unix and NT servers, and usually only takes a few seconds.

Is there something I should do? GoDaddy keeps saying is not the server is my script.

Thanks in advance.

Felix

Do they have perl installed at /usr/local/bin/perl?

Liklely the path to perl isn't set properly, usually it's /usr/bin/perl if not /usr/bin/local/perl simply

Don't forget in classic there were two flavors to download depending on where the path to perl was located. Your version of classic may be the wrong one for your new server. You can open one cgi file and look at the very first line I believe.
If your path to perl is different and you don't have both versions you will probably need to edit every file in classic to change it.

There was also some test scripts included in the original zip to test what your paths are.

Both cp.cgi and ultimatebb.cgi would need looked at.

yes, I have to change quite a few things, GoDaddy have their own path they dont want to change. Same with their cgi-bin, they just call it CGI, so I have to change all the paths and links in my files, a lot of hem, including Allen's Games wink
Thanks guys, always a fine bunch in here!
