Hey, guys. Don't EVER try to get hosted by Spaceports.com's cgi-bin server. It totally sucks, and the companies losing so much money that they randomly insert error pages because that's their source of income. We are looking for a new host. We don't have any money, so it has to be free. It can have 'above the fold' banners, we don't mind. We prefer that to pop up type banner. So if anyone can help... thanks.

Well, I have my UBB hosted on Netfirms Free Hosting . That is about one of the only free host's that allow instant sign up and UBB's. Another is Prohosting's Free Services . The other free hosts with Perl support are Hypermart , and VirtualAve . The problem with those are that they do not allow UBB's. Hope I helped. I have my forum hosted with Hypermart.net Never had a problem, but there are those annoying pop-up banners on e v e r y page. http://forum.thinkerzone.net

Freedom2Surf is the best webhost ( www.f2s.com). It has CGI support (with PL files), PHP support, Frontpage Server Extensions, 20mb of space, a free e-mail, and more. They also don't put ads anywhere on your page and have no plans to. And it's completly free.

i have hypermart, and you can add the banner instead of pop up window into the footer in the cp, it stays within the terms of service and kills pop ups. nice. insert that in the footer ------------------ http://www.dadymac.com

Don't they have downtimes once in a while, their servers are located in the UK. But they're very good for a free host. ------------------ Quality Pages designing the world professional web pages for affordable prices.

Don't sign up for f2s.com, it sucks. It is soooooo f*cking slow, it takes 5 min to load the Ultimate.cgi. I suggest to use netfirms.com, they're fast ![[Linked Image]](https://ubbdev.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif)
