Stilgar, I am glad you're back to normal. The last release or two made it a whole 10 minutes or so. You're back to sub one minute times. Good to see you're feeling better.

Picture perfect penmanship here.

a little FYI to those upgrading.

Code
In vars_faq.cgi

FIND:

300

REPLACE WITH:

%%PNTF_TIMEOUT%%
so that the pntf timeout is accurate and no longer hard-coded

I think I found something weird..

in:

Control Panel » Forum Settings » Edit Forum

then permissions do you have a blank table cell that shifts the poll settings to the right?

also my URL structure doesn't seem to have changed. How is it spider friendly now? Maybe I'm missing what's different. Or maybe someone can take a look at http://www.musicianchat.com and tell me if the URL's are spider friendly now?

If you view the source of that page you'll find this;

Code
<td width="20%" class="autoright autotop alt2"> </td>
Anyone know where this is being generated? I assume it's in the expandy-0. This is the cause of that blank area.

I see in cp2_forumedit.pl the area that we're dealing with but I get lost easily in there. Just for kicks I'm gonna keep digging around.

sub MakeComponentHTML_expandybuffer is the code in cp2_common.pl that does the expandy thing. Apparently the Polls area is meeting the criteria to have to 20% width expandy region put in.

This is in reference to the thing that Mark posted BTW.

yeah, I was just wasn't sure if it was normal bc the area is grey versus the rest of the page which is white. It just didn't seem to be by design. If it's by design then ok. I just wasn't sure. It's not a big deal. I don't really care, I just thought it was odd.

When "Browsing Community Directory" I get errors using 6.7 beta.

Number of Posts
Quote
quote:
Can't use string ("member_directory_sort_POSTCOUNT") as a symbol ref while "strict refs" in use at CGIPath/ubb_profile.cgi line 1584.
Code
 			@sorted[ $sp .. $ep ] = sort $method @sorted[ $sp .. $ep ];
} # end foreach
Display Name
quote:
[qb] Can't use string ("member_directory_sort_PDN") as a symbol ref while "strict refs" in use at CGIPath/ubb_profile.cgi line 1725. [/qb]
Code
 			if($order[$orderdex] ne chr(255)) {
@sorted[ $sp .. $ep ] = sort $method @sorted[ $sp .. $ep ];
Any idea how I'm to fix these errors? confused

Thanks!

have you tried uploading fresh copies of the directory templates and ubb_profile.cgi?

I don't get that error

Although it works for me the way it is, try the following... replace in both of those cases
Code
sort $method
with
Code
sort &stringsort($a, $b, $in{sorder})
I'd guess you have an old version of Perl, although I'm not certain..

I don't think it's on purpose on that page, but we seem to be getting ignored in this thread. *shrugs*

ok. I just wasn't sure before. I'm not sure I understand its purpose, but like I said, I don't really care all that much. I just was inquiring. wink
