Tho if you want to use PHP, you'll have to use the latest php4apache2.dll @ http://snaps.php.net/win32/

I'm sticking with 2.0.39 until PHP gets updated (for real wink ). Even 1.3.26 is a viable option if you're just going to use it for testing. I'd never run a Windows production server with it, but then again, I'd never run a Windows production server period! smile

LK: I upgraded the Iceware HTTP server to Apache 2.0.40 on the 12th of August (running Windows). So the Windows binaries weren't released on the 15th. wink

Also, the php4apache2.dll library from PHP v4.22 works fine with Apache 2.0.40. tipsy

Allen: You're referring to hardware requirements?
If so, anything will do. As long as your computer can run the Windows version, Apache will function.
Or that's my experience, at least. smile

Idle: they were updated on August 15th, maybe you're using an older Windows version?
Also, I tested 4.3-alpha .dll, not 4.22 tipsy

Well, what can I say... my words against yours, hehe.

No really, the version I upgraded to on the 12th of August, was and is version 2.0.40.
ftp.iceware.net - for example, check out the server version (of course that is no proof for me upgrading on that day), but then again, if you check the news at www.iceware.net, you'll see the date I upgraded.

As for PHP, you said:

"Tho if you want to use PHP, you'll have to use the latest php4apache2.dll"

Which is 4.3 alpha something, but you don't need the latest 4.3 alpha in order to be able to use PHP along with the latest Apache server.

Nevertheless, it's good, and it works. smile

Idle, I mean if you check http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/win32/ - you see 15 Aug 2002

I guess they re-released it.

About 4.3.0 alpha - you don't have to use the really-latest-one, but you should tipsy

Perhaps the dates went out of synch when upgrading the server... or they "touched" the files or something. No idea.
I just noticed 2.0.40 was released on the 9th of August, so I was three days "late" upgrading mine, lol.

Naw, I won't upgrade to any alpha/beta releases, at least not on a "production" server... If it ain't broken, don't fix it, some wise man said. wink

The Windows versions were available after the Linux versions - they didn't exist when I tried first.
