For those of you that don't pay attention to Just Converstaion any more...

When we launched the new website, we officially retired the good old Scriptkeeper.com server. That server powered infopop.com, the community forums, and everything else Infopop for years.

We convinced the hosting company to ship the machine to us, as it's an important part of Infopop history.

We knew it was a little, old Sun box.

We were not expecting what it was.

It's a workstation!

It's a Sun SparcStation 20, built in Feb 1995... Dual SuperSPARC chips running at either 40 or 50 MHz, 256 MB of memory (in SIMM form), and two 4.5 gig SCSI drives.

It's no bloody wonder that UBB6 ran like hell there! We're talking about the equivelent power of a single Pentium at 200 MHz.... Less power than a RaQ!!

I paid a good $300 for that piece of junk... I mean history... and I'm going to use it for what it was meant for!

hmm. install it on a win box, copy the files over to disk and use it with WINE.
