I read that something that you can have your domain name always just say your domain name..

Ex. www.ubbdev.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi
instead of that it just says

www.ubbdev.com

I read something about how to do It. But I don't remember what it's called so I can't pull up the info. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Just a thought smile

On IIS you can set ultimatebb.cgi to be the first page your server looks for when the site is pulled up. We have it set to index.shtm instead of index.htm or default.htm - tho your cgi files would need to be in the root folder for it to work like this... tho you could set it up like forums.domain.com/ultimatebb.cgi fairy easily...

if I understood you correct you want that the url line always looks like www.ubbdev.com, even if you are at ultimatebb.cgi, or ?

so, why don't you make a index.shtml or whatever with a frameset, first frame nothing, second one your website ?

domain cloaking sounds strange

PLEASE, do anything but framesets! ;)

You can make a meta refresh tag, like<blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">code:
and also make a link to it in that page.

I've been searching for this "domain cloaking" thing, and what I got is these:

a) here are some examples how to make a script by yourself

b) here are some really good info about domain cloaking

As you will seen very soon, domain cloaking is kind of illegal, search engines will kick you and etc.

but have a look by yourself

I'm proud of being a "framesetter" tipsy

It is cloacking the URL of a page. I would do this but sometimes if you want to refresh it will refresh you to the main page and not the page your on.
