Unfortunately, I still use 56k dial-up, and probably will for another year or so. I'm too cheap to pay the current prices for cable or DSL. My current dial-up is $12.50 per month, unlimited access, monthly billing, no set-up fees, 10 megs of web space, 2 pop3 e-mail accounts. The cheapest I could find.

I got out of 56k hell/AOL hell two weeks ago, and got high speed cable. Even though the cable sometimes cuts off for no reason, it is still better then slowwww 56k modem.

Cable-schmable! I used 56K this summer cuz my Aunt didn't understand how good broadband was. I'm now on DSL for a week at home. But when I get to college next week, I'll have a T3 connection. Your DSL and Cable are about 1.5mbps, where my T3 is going to be 10mbps. I can download Red Hat Linux (a 650MB ISO file) in less time than it takes to cook a pizza. Beat that! ---Skorpion

Show me a cheaper ISP.
I found one ISP for $9.95 per month that did not have news groups, or any web space, and only one pop3 account.
