posted on 11:41pm?

...so... they got 19 minutes?

again, i wouldnt be pissed if they delayed the release... but... i think they should just post something on the download page, just to let people know we'll havta wait just a lil more.

regardless.... here's hopin the 19 minute theory works out, anyway [Linked Image]

People, CALM DOWN.

It's 9:12 PM, Pacific Time. The Scriptkeeper forums are on Eastern time. That message by Michael was an hour ago.

There are three hours left today.

Those of you *****ing and whining and moaning about how it's not out yet need to STOP.

Tim: "You've a mathematical function named w/ the French word for fish?"

as previously stated...twice... its not the delay i mind. i understand a whole buncha work goes into the whole thing. and, believe you me, im thankful and respectful for it!

but, no one set the dead line for'em (get it?! forum!? ...see... doh...), they set it themselves. and, just as easily, they could fix it, update it -- all they havta do is say something. and, sure, they dont have to, but... it IS a service i pay for, and honestly, i just think it'd be nice of'em to lemme know if its worth waiting up for tonight, or if i should check back in a few days or so

and bottom line... i mean, c'mon, man, i'm anxious! [Linked Image]

MichaelF said they will make the deadline, so they will. Just calm down. It's only 9:30 here on the Pacific coast. They've got two and a half hours. It's just database problems on the InfoPop site, unrelated to the UBB6.

This is the designed behavior.

I have been around prof. software people and they take this stuff real serious and actually have dry runs on duplicate servers. so the wait with info pop is pretty much normal. Believe me you would rather wait than get screwed up files

I put in a fresh set of unhacked 5.47d files in preparation for the v6 upgrade... definitely a little different.

Hi PD--
The scoop is this: UBB6 has actually been ready since this afternoon, but we want to make sure we have the proper supporting info on our website. Our web team has worked very hard to get things ready, but it just took a little longer than expected.

And yes, Infopop is still "open"... we will have UBB6 available today!

I do find one thing amazing... the private messages still work, without the additional coding in the ubb files... I find that amazing! We actually did create a standalone script! One of our remaining goals!

Man thers going to be havac here tomorrow theres alot of people around info pops boards that are thinking they can upgrade from 547 to 6.0 with a fully hacked board Im getting tired of telling them there using Info POp quotes that yes you can update from 547 to 6.0 they are not refering to hacked boards at Info pop with added profiles

actually... confused. the wording of the "upgrade from 5" help file is messin with my head.

step 2 says to upload the variable files.

right after step 3, there's a note telling me not to.

...guh...

Upload your variable files to your ubb cgi directory, upload all cgi-bin files/folders to your ubb cgi directory. You don't have to upload the Members folder. Upload all files/folders in the noncgi folder to your ubb non-cgi directory.

set permissions like it says in the instructions.

If you are upgrading a 5 series forum, run the ubb_upgrade.cgi file after uploading everything.

Note to anyone who cares... our test forum was a fairly heavily modified 5.47d with ~50 modifications on it. It upgraded without a hitch in a matter of seconds to the new version. So, you really don't need to start with a fresh set of un-modified files... your extra profile fields are another thing.

There was an error in the upgrade doc. the correction has been posted on the SK bug forum and the zips corrected. Yes, do upload the variables files if you are upgrading from 5 to 6.

Sorry guys! [Linked Image]
