It's that time of the month again. Time to post your entries for next month's Members Spotlight contest. Here are the rules:

We are only accepting versions 6.1 or higher

Entries are judged based on the following criteria: quality of hacks, site integration, quality of design, colors and aesthetics, and the quality of the member experience.

Entries with any of the following "qualities" will be disqualified, with or without notice to the entrant:

- pirated UBB's.
- sites that remove/hide the Infopop copyright notice.
- 5.X or 6.0 UBB's.
- warez sites or porno sites.
- sites that depict harm to pandas, small children, or llamas.

But, we also reserve the right to disqualify any entry for any reason deemed fit by the judges, with or without notice to the entrant.

If you would like your short critiques, please e-mail me @ [email protected]. Please understand any requests done otherwise will be ignored. Be sure to include the URL of the site you are requesting the short critiques for. If you are waiting for your curtiques from last month, they are on the way.

The deadline for signing up is Sunday, June 23 11:59pm UBBDev time.

Umbrella Online - A few improvements since last time..

Undergoing a complete site revision, but the forums are largely finished. The site is dedicated to online play of a game called Diplomacy.

This may be a dumb question, Are'nt 5.XX considered UBB's ?
I think you should have a spotlight award for UBB's and not just the current version..

They are, but they're totally different - we can't compare between 5.x, that has much more hacks and a totally different look, and 6.x.

So what about a "Grand" contest opened to all UBB's ?
As far as I'm concerned 5.XX don't all look the same. Every 6.XX looks the same to me, just different color shemes.
Don't get me wrong, I've seen alot of great ones out there.
I don't think any 6.XX series could touch a well done 5.XX series..
IE: my boards, spawn's, p2kewl's and countless others.

Sorry for the ***** , but alot of us have put alot of hard work into our boards.

Back to your contest

We have not allowed 5.x board in the Spotlight contest for a looooooooong time. We know that there are still folks using 5.x boards (heck, I just switched to 6.x a couple of months ago), and that a lot of them are really nice.

5.x boards are welcome to sign up for our Content Rulez contest, which focuses on the strength of community and the forum's content.

I understand it's not quite as hacked as you guy's board's but it will get better so it's worth a shot.

I have to agree with Metallifukinca about the 5.x boards. I guess I see both sides of the point but i am leaning toward his arguement. Heres to hoping i don't tee off the people that vote in the contest but I have seen some beautiful 5.x boards and it's not like there are large numbers of people entering right now.

Oh yeah, don't forget to vote for Netwerkin...=)
