I have a lot of smilies at Netwerkin and it's hard to get rid of any of them since someone uses most all of them. I would love to see a hack that would do this;
A member would be able to go into their profile and open a window that has all of the sites available smilies. The person would be able to select the smilies that they would use on a normal basis. Now for the fun part, when a person opens the topic, reply etc. page they would only see the smilies that they selected as their favorites.
It might be fun to have the ability to create sub folders that would let people select a particular mood etc. and have just that sub-selection show.
Any ideas on how possible this would be to do?

I won't be able to pull this off, but may I suggest something like the tabs used at CC's main page? If they click the Happy tab, it shows all the happy images, and so on. What'd you need to do is set up a webpage with all of that div/js then so an iframe in the Instant Graemlin block on your post page.

Interesting Idea. Never heard of it before. Seems possible. Have you seen it done on other message board software?

Nice idea. One thing I've seen on a different forum is the ability to set your default smiley. On one forum I visit I usually use one perticulat smiley. This way it would be my default smiley and I could be lazy and never have to think about it. If I chose a different smiley for one post, it would go back to the default after that post. That would be sweet! Just trying to add you your already great idea. :default_smiley:

I haven't seen this done anywhere else, I actually like the way the quick reply addon allows a popup window with the smilies so that not everyone has to load all 150 of them. Looking for a fun variation.
