What I am imagining is something that is not complex but rather a place to make notations maybe about the system, users or some links to favorite places and posts as well as personal notations of things to see, do, etc.
Maybe a simple text entry box like that of a new topic/reply with an submission button that would post the same way as a normal thread.
There should be a theoretical limit to the amount of lines/characters that can be stored and should be noted on this page as well as definable within the ACP. Also the ability to turn on and off I guess would be good as that seems to be a common request from most system operators. The ability to turn on/off html and ubb code would also be a good idea with it being noted on the page as well as a link back to the ubb code page if activated. Not sure if the most current UBB version has a calendar but a link back to that as well with it opening in a new page would be good.
It should be a link off the profile page and not within the acual profile. Maybe a link next to View/Update Profile?

So you want the ability for them to list liek fave sites or... Give a rough draft of how many fields we're talking :x...

 Why not just allow a second sig. This one would only be available in public_display_profile.pl . You could set it up to convert ubb code etc, and it would only require one field.

One of the extra 4 profile fields could be tweaked to do something similar, it filters ubbcode, etc.

we had something a lot more detailed done a while back for staff members, maybe it can be resurrected
