Short? Yes. Sweet? Could have been if it'd worked for me ... nothing new's showing up in the forums view ... & I'm too tired to debug now. btw, the last '}' in the added code is one too many. Entering that way exactly yields internal server error.

But, i have it working on my forums without an ISE, with that last thingy.

Ok, MasterMind the debugging is done ... I found it was only working in moderated forums & guess what? It's one of those thingies again! Also, you had a mismatched tag -- not a biggie ... & still in the not a biggie department, the position of the greeting next to the header menus was a little crowded, especially if you've got all the extra hacked-in menus (login, voice/text ...) so, I moved it right before the table header strip & it looks best there for my setting. So, for anyone intersted & since the hack is so short sweet & cute, I'll just reproduce what I have now below:
