We have been running our old favorite v.6.2.3 and we've recently upgraded to a v.7.4.1 which we're still testing.

On the old version, when you open a list of topics on any given forum, the Topic Title had a column and the Poster had a column. On the newer version, the Poster column is gone and the Poster is now under the Topic Title. This makes the Topic Title row take up two rows, instead of one, so we are wasting alot of space and showing half as many active threads on the list.

Is there a way to change the line break which causes the Posted By line to drop a row -- and instead force the Posted By to line up to the right side of the top row in the column, in between the Topic Title and the icons for sticky + attachment + hot-topic?

I'd prefer to have the Posted By forced as far right as possible, while still leaving a buffer space after the Topic Title to break the two apart for easier reading...and include a buffer to the right also, so it's not crowding the icons?

Also...on the farthest right column "Posted" we have the same two row when one would do issue...so I'd like to bump that second line up and to the right also.

Thanks for any line by line per template code related tips to make this mod for us.

You mean something like this?

We modified the postlist template for that.

Thanks...yeah, that's very similar.

I'll look into the postlist.tpl - that's a great start.

I'm curious how you defined and seperated the additional column for Poster?

We currently have a huge width on the far right column, so unlike your board, where you still have a double row for original Posted By info...we might push the two lines into one without running into column width issues, huh?

More accurately...this would be the postlist layout we're looking to change...

We were coming from 6.x.x series also and didn't like the new layout.

And to be honest, I don't have a clue anymore what we exactly changed, it's been over a year ago we made those adjustments, and I just copy them over with a compare tool with each upgrade.
