Instead of continuing to completely hijack the other thread, and post additions everywhere but the initial post; here's the thread for my Embedding BBCode additions.
7.3 Update - Due to the "Custom Tags" option added in 7.3 these can be added much easier, without having to hack code. Please see the following links:
[7.3+] Gizmo's Embedding BBCode (Compatibility) (compatibility with the codes below in 7.3)
[7.3+] Gizmo's CustomTags (My new custom tags thread for all things 7.3+)

[liveleak]VideoID[/liveleak] [sdeluxe]VideoID[/sdeluxe] Others: Spoiler Tags Daily Motion NOTE: The [podcast] tag requires the MP3 flash file inserted into your /libs directory; this file is available here . Please note that you'll also need to insert the URL to this file in the bbcode entry. For support on the Spoiler Tags bbcode, please go here as it has its own page. To see why there is the description/desc tags, please see here . The PhotoBucket Video code requires the videoURL from the embed link on photobucket, you can't use the "link to this page" link as it does not give the video data to embed the video. Markup Panel Note : The text attached shows you how to add an option to your markup panel (the graphic goes in images/markup_panel/ and should be named "vidembed.gif"); it took a while to get everything to mesh well, but I think it should work fine.
The only options in here (for now) is the Video Embedding options, and it prompts the user to enter a description for their video (so search engines or impaired users can actually tell what it is as they can have issues viewing videos)... On another note, do you like my video embed graphic?
Licensing Notice : I hereby grant exclusive access over the attached image(s) to
UBB.Central and UBB.Dev and their userbase to be used only within the UBB (and any UBB addon's or scripts). No other usage is approved.
Attachment Information :
2475.gif - vidembed.gif
vidembedmarkuppanel.txt - The markup panel addon WITH the description tag added into the javascript prompts (recommended as Search Engines and Visually Impaired users cannot SEE the video, the reader can read a description of the video; higly recommended especially if you rely on search engine traffic).
vidembedmarkuppanel2.txt - The markup panel addon WITHOUT the description tag added into the javascript prompts (the above is recommended, this is provided for those who don't want the description tag for whatever reason).

It'd seem that Yahoo changed how they embed items, I'm not sure how at moment, but the embed string is nothing like it was several months ago... It USED to be: 146a6f217779edcc766c1f02c7696206.1417545 where the long string is the userid, and the short is the videoid; but now they're crafting data different and it looks (offhand) that I just need to call the videoid... interesting...

In short, yes:
zOMG no markup code /hint Gizmo
hmm? Do you mean the markup panel itself? If so, I guess I could throw something togethere, but after a couple additions it'll get quite crowded...
As for "dailymotion", this should work, however you have to take the id out of the embed code vs the url:
array( "#\[dailymotion\]([a-zA-Z0-9-_]+)\[/dailymotion\]#i", '<center><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/\1"></param><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/\1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></center>' ),

glad to hear it. I'm going to work on the yahoo code later on when I get more time; it's really odd that they changed things around; i'm wondering what all i can shave from the embed code...

Giz - you have [description]Desctiption Data[/description] [desc]Description Data[/description] rather than [description]Desctiption Data[/description] [desc]Description Data[/desc]# not 100% sure what this one does at the moment BTW

haha, good call! Consider it updated.
Description is just a small tag which allows you to post a description of a video, basically its no different than:
Description : This is the description.Basically, it's to encourage people to post a description with their videos; as search engines cannot crawl, let alone see, the content within the flash file lol.

Lol, yeh if you just copy down the block above you get a whole bunch of added goodies lol; though the podcast code requires the mp3 swf file (though theres a link to that in my notes). The spoiler one is heavily used by some communities; and it's a great one...

Whilst I think this is great - the only problem is that most users when they make a post are totally unaware of these functions unless they are on buttons or as a drop down etc.

You can craft entries for the full reply box's system, however there isn't much space to play, and adding too many items is going to make it quite full and messy looking...

Ouch, no props to the original YouTube mod!?
I made this about the same time as the "original" was listed here for my personal use
...
I'm actually contemplating remaking all of mine to be xhtml valid; but that'd take too long and i'd get bored hehe.

Hey ive just noticed that when members have been using this
mod YouTube its recording the hits from the embedded link.
So if your members embedd a YouTube Video
Google is picking up your site name.
e.g. - Google Result looks like this.
YouTube - Chassis with 27 litre tank engine for Rover SD1 project 4 clicks from http://www.mysite.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php?ub... 3 clicks from http://www.his-site.co.uk/forum/index.php?showto. ... Extra Bonus there with the YouTube Hack
Again Nice one Gizmo

With me changing domain names recently,
i only have a search result from google of 200
so i was just going through the 5 pages or so,
to see what was being spidered and there they were,
at about 100 ish results in
I guess there were about 6 diffrent ones that were listed.
Its a very popular add-on on my site the members love it.

My members like it - but they are a bit thick at times LOL and forget to use the features....
Maybe it is because they often use the quick reply box, so do not see these features, and indeed smilies within or near that box.
Not sure of the reason - but I used to see it used, but not any more

Updated initial page, added -_ for all video tags (since it's becoming more and more popular, figured why the hell not), also added break.com.

I removed the Spoiler Tags code as I work on it on the other thread; and I added a PhotoBucket Video embed code. If I can find a flash embedder that I'm happy with, I'll add that as well, so stay tuned.

Add After (choose any you wish, this is my added block from my site):
I would put things at a different spot.
You need to modify the lines a bit, but imho it should be in the "
if( $type != "sig" ) { " construction just below the place you put it in now.
Because all these flash thingy includes don't belong in a signature. Just add "
$regexes[] = " and replace the , at the end with a ; and it should work, I think

'eh woudln't be too hard I guess  some people may want spoilers in their sig? you could put them in either place, would take just a couple extra lines to drop them in the no sig area

array( "#\[skype\]([a-zA-Z0-9-_]+)\[/skype\]#i", '<a href="skype:\1?call"><img src="http://mystatus.skype.com/bigclassic/\1" style="border: none;" width="182" height="44" alt="My status" /></a>' ),

At our forum we use youtube and google video.
But especially with youtube, lots of people just type in the whole url instead of just the code.
But it shouldn't be too difficult to accept a whole URL also isn't it?
My lame attempt was:
array( "#\[youtube\]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=([a-zA-Z0-9-_]+)\[/youtube\]#i", '<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/\1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/\1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>' ), But regexxes is pretty new for me, so I don't know what characters I can or can't use.

I donno why that wouldn't work offhand, it looks sane enough; don't really have the time atm to test it, but i'll give it a shot later on.

I have an extra bit of code that isnt mentioned in your first post?
In FF if i remove this code, and click preview it show it as
tags and tube code only?
array( "#\[youtube\](.+?)\[/youtube\]#i" , '<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/\1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/\1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>' ), Its then i would paste the rest of your code in post 1 of this thread.
Of course i dont understand any of it just feed back
BOOM 7.6.+ rocks....

array( "#\[pbucket\]([a-zA-Z0-9-_.:/]+)\[/pbucket\]#i", '<center><embed width="425" height="350" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://vid68.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=\\1"></embed></center>' ), remove second \ after file=\, then it works

Mark, the reason they're not centered is because the youtube tag you're using isn't from my posting, it's from the other youtube tag posting in another thread. This should effect both of your posts.

Yep all working now
used ALL of the code from the first post
Part of my problem was a video i was testing?
OTl8ySlr4Qw&eurl
Ive no idea where the
&eurl came from as in i dont know.
So that was causing me problems as it was the correct format.
With
&eurl removed the extra and positioning now all works.
Centred and previewing fine
OTl8ySlr4Qw
I'm now using all the codes posted in the first post
Thanks for the reply's.

Code updated to remove the additional \ in the pbucket tag which wasn't working for some users.
