Review Of: UBB.x, Infopop's NEW Hosted Solution

Since infopop launched two new services monday, UBB.x and webhosting, I had to get my hands on it. First, the overall scores. Remember, I don't give out good reviews like this often. I am very picky. Keep that in mind.

UBB.x is hosted at Infopops secure secret military guarded base. Ok, hosted on their servers in seattle... OpenTopic, another hosted solution, is high end and uses oracle. UBB.x uses mySQL, is less high end because of that, but contains most of the same features. Its control panel is very clean, it has many options and is very secure and robust. Unlike UBB.classic, you don't have access to the source code. But that's ok for 99% of the people who want to use it. Stability and Features are the keys to this product. I'm gonna highlight a few of my favorite features that bring this product out!
Content Islands
This is great, like instant portal. It is the most scalable thing in UBB.x. It allows you to pull news, polls, member info, posts, and more using javascript that is placed on your page.

Private Topics
This is new in OpenTopic 2.2.0 (UBB.x 1.2.0). It speaks for itself, its really powerful. Allows you to invite people on your buddy list to a topic. Really cool and powerful.
