Is there anyway to turn off the automatic emails every time someone registers?

I believe you can do this in your Control Panel by unchecking "Enable Member Moderation Queue?" under Membership >> Registration Settings.

I want to leave the queue on. Everytime someone registers I get an email to go check the queue. I don't want any emails, I know to check the queue periodically.

There must be some way?

OK, I think this is version independant.

in adduser.php

Search for:

// Now if we are manually approving user registration we need to send an

Delete or comment out the subsequent part that is enclosed in the if statement or comment out only this line:

$mailer -> send_mail("","","$to","$subject","$msg");
