i have read a few tuts about a side bar for ubbthreads.

all i need is a bar like here https://www.ubbdev.com/db/ultimatebb.php/topic/15/1.html

its called Sidebar and all i need is for me to put some stuff there nothing fancy but to do it with ubbthreads 6.5

i know we have one here but it goes after you login.

can abybody point me in the right location please

IIP has a sidebar

i dont want to install the main page portal thingy :S all i wanted was a nice little bar on the side i can type stuff into

so only install the sidebar part...

well what file do i need to edit to make a side bar. i want it to have nothing in it at the moment but want it to look like this. as i dont want to install the iip thingy..

Have you even downloaded at looked and the IIP yet?

yes its tooo much code for me lol

If you want a static sidebar (in which you simply edit the HTML) you edit your header and footer inserts.

You put the whole forum inside a table.

Example, for a left sidebar, in your header you put something like...



Then in the footer, close out the table.

If you want a "smart" sidebar, like here with info about the forum, then you need IIP.

ok i installed it. i was wonering if you can make it stay for good so people cant turn it off? or its on as default,.
