Hmmmm I'm also having some issues with setting up the same crontask. I'm running 6.4.2 and after my crontask has run, I get the following report from the server:

Code
/hsphere/local/home/pasqual/tsjechie.net/forum/cron/php/subscriptions.php: line 1: ?: No such file or directory<br />/hsphere/local/home/pasqual/tsjechie.net/forum/cron/php/subscriptions.php: line 2: /bin: is a directory<br />/hsphere/local/home/pasqual/tsjechie.net/forum/cron/php/subscriptions.php: line 19: backup/: is a directory<br />/hsphere/local/home/pasqual/tsjechie.net/forum/cron/php/subscriptions.php: line 21: //: is a directory<br />/hsphere/local/home/pasqual/tsjechie.net/forum/cron/php/subscriptions.php: line 22: syntax error near unexpected token `"/hsphere/local/home/pasqual/tsjechie.net/forum/main.inc.php"'<br />/hsphere/local/home/pasqual/tsjechie.net/forum/cron/php/subscriptions.php: line 22: `   require ("/hsphere/local/home/pasqual/tsjechie.net/forum/main.inc.php");'<br />

What could be wrong with mine ?

I have now fixed this by replacing line 88 of subscriptions.pl to:

my($Number,$PPosted,$PUsername,$PIP,$PSubject,$PBody,$PAnon,$Pnumber);

After I changed it, it worked perfectly
