changed my CSS...changed the files...it all worked.. I was so happy.

Knew it was too good to be true.

Anyone know what caused this problem and how to fix it? the cell on the left grew somehow. Just appeared.

that's just how big it gets on empty tables. Once The other cells have some content, it will start to shrink.

It's just how browsers determine cell widths when they aren't specified
