Does anyone ANALYZE tables often? I did it on one table and the cardinality values on the SHOW INDEX results changed quite greatly. I wondered if anyone knows if running this often has much of a performance increase in UBBThreads case or not.
[]Analyze and store the key distribution for the table. During the analysis, the table is locked with a read lock. This works on MyISAM and BDB tables. For MyISAM tables, this statement is equivalent to using myisamchk -a.
MySQL uses the stored key distribution to decide the order in which tables should be joined when you perform a join on something other than a constant.[/]
