Yeah, I bought it (expensive ouch) but found the mac version pretty quirky. I know some guys who like the PC version. It looks really feature rich, can help you find errors - keep track of your variables, has all the function library built in etc.... It was handy. The mac version just was lame like the pc version running in an emulator. But otherwise it looked like a nice piece of software.

Yeah I have a runaway error in the pollpal where it sometimes displays 5 occurences but when you click refresh it goes away was looking into something to use for testing the PHP but to load it on the PC I would also have to install mysql on the PC..

I have bought it as well it is running happily on Linux and on Windows. It is called Zend Development Studio and if memory serves right it is at 3.02 version (the client).
You can also have the server running on the same or another machine which gives you gread debugging options - even a step by step and step over functions on your code. It has for sure saved me tons of time tracking down bugs.

Downloaded eval version, I'm impressed already. Though don't think I can afford it. Going to see if it can help me debug some of the integration scripts I'm trying to put into 6.4 so I can finish my upgrade already.

Yes it can pick up almost everything. At least it showed me in numerous occasions the execution path which led me to find out my bugs. Also it shows you the scope of each variable and its value.
Debugging is really easy. I too agree it is pricey but hey what can you do....

I've been using Zend Studio pretty regularly since September and I won't give it up now The automatic syntax checking, and bracket highlighting are 2 things that have saved me quite a few hours of looking at code. Another thing I use it for is testing theories with code snippets. I write a section of code, and do some dummy valuse, and watch the output and variables to see if it behaves like it should. It also has integrated CVS support, and other things. Zend may seem expensive at $199 ($249 w/ support), but NuSphere PHPed is $299 ($499 with support). If you are looking for a free editor, www.winsyntax.com is where to go. It's lightweight, and does syntax checking.

That's pretty much what I said when I started doing PHP Dev more than just tinkering.
I used the trial of Zend, and really liked it as it allowed me to organize things, and made things easier when I was first learning.
I haven't quite grappled the whole OOP thing, as it seems like it would add a lot of additional coding to what I'm using.
