Thanks Josh... though you MIGHT want to double check the documentation at the top of the file.

Great add-on!!!

I thought I would point out three changes I made, that you might consider for the public release. Minor usability tweaks.

1) Since SPELL_CHECK is already defined in the addpost.php, newpost.php and newreply.php language files, but as 'Check spelling', I changed those to 'Check Spelling' (note case) and also added SPELL_CHECK to generic.php with the same---keeps it consistent across all pages.

2) Changed popup width to 500 pixels, height to 550. Bigger is better.

3) Added the spell check button to lines 66 and 126 in addpost_preview.tmpl.

I would've thought I'd be forgotten by now

Anyway suggestion for Spell Check v2: make a PHP file on the thread's server a proxy between the user and the spellchecker, then convert the results to the UBB's styleset, and add "Correct Text in Threads" button, which would automatically fix the mistakes on your UBBThreads post form... just like in UBB.class's spellcheck 2

In the instructions....when you say:

##
##Find:
##

and

##
##Add :
##

Do you mean for us to replace the code with what you say to add or do you want us to add the code to the existing code you asked us to find?

Thanks guys...

Nope - if that's the case then the instructions usually say "change" or "replace"

this mod simply adds a button, so add the additional code after the part that you find. Just after or below is fine.

That way the spell check button appears after the continue button.

Anyone else notice spellcheck.net chokes on posts more than a decent paragraph long?

Needless to say that it's fixed in UBB's spellcheck because we're processing it thru the cgi file and not the IE... but you can use the same, very simple technique as ubb's post preview, that it changes method=get to method=post in the popup..

FYI in Safari on Mac you can choose "Check as you type" under Edit / Spelling it will
underlines the typos. Then you can control click or right click on the typo and have
the corrected word(s) in a popup.

Sure it will, may need minor tweaks. I already set it up on my upgrade/dev board, but don't remember if there were any major changes to the way it was installed from the instructions.
