Is this possible now or would it require a modification:
when a user registers I would like a email sent to them that includes a clickable url
(We have a member managment program that will make our application approval process much easier. I want to send those who regoster to an online form that feeds the info into that program..this will save me tons of admin time)
Best

Unless there is something you're asking that I dont quite understand... you can do that by simply changing the email text (and include a link if you wish) by editting the adduser.php language file.

It would be nice if this, as well as the Welcome message (PM) could be edited directly from the Admin area. Look at how many requests there are for these, it's just as important of a change as the closed message or any other configuration. It's crazy that we should have to hack files to do it.

Maybe you should post it as a feature request here. Then it will be a logged feature suggestion.

Eric,
Language files are editable in the admin section already. So there is no hacking of files needed. You can edit this via the admin section.
Now what would be nice is to split that string out of the language files and place a link under the includes like your header and footer and say link EDIT WELCOME MESSAGE.

If your interested I could code this up in like a few minutes Place a new include in the includes and replace the language string with the welcome include.

All language files can be edited via admin.
