Hello. I want to erase the Email address (displayed on posts)from all the users so it will be blank. Could you tell me the query which does this ? Also ,is there any way that new problems may come up?

I think Hal9000 is wanting to remove the entries from the table that displays the users email address under their profile. The email address is entitled as 'Email address (displayed on posts)' under 'My Home'
I think you can just enter the SQL command
UPDATE w3t_Users SET U_Fakeemail = NULL

No! I am always learning to remember the correct SQL commands as well - but am fairly confident of this Backup your database, check your property insurance, make sure there is not a storm overhead, stand on your left leg, with the right small finger in your ear and then try it.... perhaps. U_Fakeemail is the correct field and NULL is the default entry, so give it a try

Ian_W gave you the correct command, but it's still recommended that you backup the database first.

As I am learning as well both
UPDATE w3t_Users SET U_Fakeemail = NULL
and
UPDATE w3t_Users SET U_Fakeemail = 'NULL'
work? I was always under the assumption one had to use ' '

NULL and 'NULL' are different. NULL is a reserved keyword in MySQL (and PHP). 'NULL' is a string. NULL is the correct choice.

Got ya. I know ya know the right way. I knew there had to be a simple reason for the difference of no quotes.
