[6.2.2]

I've been investigating this problem.

If I use the CODE tag to insert text into a post, initially it looks correct. But if edit the post, even without making any changes, a blank line appears to get inserted after every line.

This problem occurs with Mozilla 1.3a, but not with IE 5.5.

By comparing the actual HTML source before editing and after editing, it can be seen that line breaks (hard breaks, not HTML breaks) get inserted when editing.

This might be related to the opposite problem of intentional blank lines within CODE tags not being displayed.

Any ideas on how both of these issues can be resolved, so that the desired behavior occurs with both browsers?
