ABSTRACT

This addon script will allow you to check and update the last post data displayed on the main index page.

It was based on Dave Lozier's Check Post Count addon script, updated by Olle Johansson.

This hack doesn't seem very popular. Did the [:"red"]red[/] warning scare people away?

By the way, one thing this hack will do is fix the problem of forums not showing up on the main index page due to Bo_Posterid or Bo_LastNumber not being set properly, which can occur when importing from UBB.classic.

Give me a chance to read it first, why dontcha? =]

I've just downloaded it and will give it a try.

Update: Tried it on my test board and it showed the correct results. It's a very empty database though, so it's not much of an indication. I don't have any 6.2 test board with lots of data in it unfortunately.

I tried this on a board imported from vBulletin and it worked like a charm, very nice.

Do you think it's safe to remove the [:"red"]red[/] warning, and move this to Finished Mods?

I guess. But I still haven't tried it on a live board, but the forums that didn't show up magically appeared and could be viewed after running it.

If the forum is missing because the Boards.Bo_LastNumber or Boards.Bo_Posterid column has the wrong value, yes. That's partly why I wrote it.

By the way, like JustDave's Check Post Count hack, you can use this without "installing" it. You can just run the script without adding a link to the Admin menu.

Thank you very much for this add on.
I installed it and found lots of issues. (I hope that this fixed the problems we had on the boad with a correct display of "new" flags in certain boards.)

Installed and working great. Thanks Dave! It found quite a few errors. Some were a result of moving a thread to a different forum, others are a mystery to me. Great work!

Thanks this fixed a annoying problem and was very handy to update the articles mod to the correct user.

It fixes the missing forum issue. Also your counts may be off as some older version of threads were buggy when threads were deleted/moved etc.. So the counts may have been off for some time.

Moved to finished mods.
