Easy couple of questions, I'm sure.
Any help/advice on how to make the post/expand/index nav bar 'pop' on the page? It is sort of hard to spot on the page and some feedback I've received is that it's hard to see.

Second question: is there any way to alter the private welcome message in a new user's in box?

That would be a simple template modification on that bar. I would need to know more of what you are looking to do to help further on that.

To alter private message welcome you can edit the file add_user.php in the language directory of each specific one you use. Most notably the language/english directory and find this line in that file

$ubbt_lang['WEL_MSG'] = " there will be some words in here ";

change to what you like

$ubbt_lang['WEL_MSG'] = " Welcome to my Forums Please have a good time ";

After you edit the file just save it and upload to server. Remember to backup the file before any editing.
