I can navigate the threads from my other rig !?!

but my main machine cannot get get past the cat= page

can any one comfirm if this site is non navigatable.

does this site werk? or not?

I just took a look.

2 things.

There's an extra slash in the URL before ubbthreads....

So it looks like this:
http://www.caadacforums.com//ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat=


Check your config file for the URL that's got the trailing slash.

Next.... try re-uploading the templates directory.....
I can get to certain pages (like Login and FAQ) but others (like postlist and online) are blank.

Re-upload all the templates.... I'm guessing that something went wrong there.

Then make sure that the /templates and /templates/default directory are chmod 777 so that they are readable.

Let me know if that works.

The double slash was has been there...

I can navigate site form the oth machine, I am beggining to believe its a local issue in this machine.

you really should fix the double slash tho... it's an extra trailing one in your config settings.

I couldn't go most anywhere

I can navigate...but couldn't view any forums and such.
They were totally blank pages.

It looks ok to me. The // is present, but I can access the forums and threads ok.

I just reverted back to 6.0.3 (only after re-formatting my HDD )

Exactly what steps did you take to upgrade?

i have been thinking about where I goofed, and tell me if this makes sense....

I was useing WE_FTP_le, I had several fatal errors during the process and the ftp closed (8-10 times) So...

I would begin with the point on the process had completed.

x2 possibilities for problems here.

• since the program by default is set to binanry, I may have not changed to ACSii and uploaded some files in Binary.
• I may have uploaded coruption due to the closing of the FTP.

I did catch myself uploading in binary, I re-uploaded the same files to overwrite in ASCii (thet did seem to upload very quickly during the over write.)

When you make another attempt, you may want to clone your existing board as a test board, and upgrade the test board. Then you can spend as much time as you want testing and fixing it. Keep notes of any problems or unusual things you have to do to get it working. Then when you're satisfied with it, you can upgrade your main board.

In the future, you might want to try using SmartFTP instead. It automatically detects file type (actually, I'm pretty sure you can set WS-FTP_LE to run AUTO as well), as well as many other nice features. And it's free!!

WS-FTP LE has an auto mode, but it's based on your telling it all the file extensions that require ASCII transfer mode.
