I did a search couldn't find anything about adding more fields to the user registration page. The thread I found before kinda just faded and I dunno if it was ever done. Basically I want to add like a Real Name field and make it required, and maybe another field or two as well. Kinda like the profile fields but when they register as a new user since no one likes to fill out their profiles for some reason. hahaha Thanks in advance.

I think I prefer the way that UBB.classic handles this. All of the profile fields are available for entry at the time of registration. Most of the fields can be connfigured as "required", "optional", or "do not display".

It is quite nice for experienced users but I believe it is scary for newbies who just want to start posting. But I do think it would be a great feature to have it configurable as long as the default is to only require the most basic fields.

Here is what I´d suggest:
- Admin control panel allows you to select what fields are required for registration.
- Admin control panel allows you to select what fields appear when first registering, the rest appear only when editing profile.
