Hi,

I have UBBT 6.0 running with more than 20K registered users. I also have a huge picture gallery on plain indexed HTMLs. HTMLs carry thumbnails which take users to the image HTML page.

Now I want to make the HTMLs carrying the original images available to only a special user group. Anyone can view the thumbnails on the HTML - but the moment any thumbnail is clicked - it will check the cookie and see if this user is in that 'special' group. If the user doesn't belong to that special group the image would not be served and rather a 'register yourself to view' page would be served.

I am not a PHP programmer and have no idea how much time this project might take. Any feedback / suggestion is highly welcome. Also, if anyone is interested in doing some freelance work I might be interested in getting the details.

There is a photo gallery software package that has been integrated with threads.

It uses the same User/Login database, and you can set up privledges by the groups that you have defined in threads.

Michael here is one of the programmers for them, and he's done some awesome integration hacks with theads.

I've photopost too. It's installed on http://www.myhotboard.com/hotphoto/hotpix

But our 'Showcase' (which we want to integrate with UBB-T user logins) are way too big - to the range of 2Gig of Images averaging 40KB each. Also we figured out that bulk uploading in Photopost does not work well. Plus, we want to keep the already popular format for these pics as well. We have kept Photopost separate for member uploads only.

The pages would need to be switched over to php so that some scripting could be used to auth the users. All of the html code could still be used as is to display the page with.
