User gets "user name / password not found" error, he is using 98SE,IE6,Office2K,AMD1.3Ghz,Linksys 10/100 Lan Card RCA Cable modem.
Any ideas I can not figure this one out. We allready tried the www. in front of the URL thing with no luck.

Did you have him delete his cookies and clear his cache?

I've had a couple people say it's related to proxies, even if the site is marked to allow. When they turn off proxies , they can log in.

Are they running any software such as "Norton's Internet Security" or "ZoneAlarm Pro 3.0" that can be set to block cookies?

Also, IE 6.0's privacy settings will block these cookies when set to high.

Nope, but hear is the funny thing, he just emailed me saying that it now works, and he and I did nothing, just started working - weird.

I'm getting a lot of those as well. Not only users, but also myself.

This seems to be happening when having multiple browser windows open, and *not* using the "remember me" checkbox. It seems to clear up when you set the cookie.
