I was struggling for about 30 mins trying to get posts from the mySQL databases using ASP, basically due to the way threads stores the last post time in seconds.

Heres the code that eventually did it. I asked for posts with a last post date greater than this

DATEDIFF("s", "01/01/1970", DATEADD("s", 7*86400, NOW()))

The 7 is the number of days.

Anyway thought id share this to save anyone else struggling.

I'm messing with the same type of problem. My problem is pulling B_Posted and B_Last_Posted from the database. When I manually look at the database, and plug in the field for one of the dates, the following line works as well for date conversion.

<% TestPosted = DateAdd("s", B_Posted, "01-Jan-70") %>

Did you have to do anything special to get the dates out of the database?

I don't know if this will help, but there are a couple of MySQL functions for converting to/from "Unix timestamps" (the date/time format that UBB.threads uses): UNIX_TIMESTAMP() and FROM_UNIXTIME().
