yup, good job! I believe prohosting adds banner code to each page, including TXT files, so they tried to add their banner.. of course this text is plain text and not HTML so you see the source code instead of the actual banner.

I know, the webhost automatically puts it at the bottom of each page. Don't bother.

This doesn't work for me. I've tried it with and without the php accelerator, and I've tried being logged in with access, without access, and logged out and I see them all 3 times. I've cleared the cache too

It also seems to prevent ultimatebb.php from running, I get the .cgi page 100 percent of the time. If I put my backups in then the .php page runs again.

I'm sorry for the UBB Accelerator, but my host has disabled PHP, so I wasn't able to test it. I think that if you want to, you can set the path to the summary cache in ultimatebb.php on line 202 manually to the most restrictive set. Don't forget to change this whenever you add a public forum or change forum access rights!
I'll process the installation list again and try to find any bugs in my installation guide.
P.S. Has anyone got it to work yet?

How much of a hit is it having the summary page hit the .cgi page instead of the .php page?
