I'm working on some huge protein target right now called Farnesyltransferase... and I already got 72 hits at only 24%...

boy is that one big protein

It seems as though there are only 2 proteins and one of them is a monster. My machines all took 24 to 36 hours on it. On the other hand I got huge points when it was done.

Got stuck on 37% on that farnes thing, then restarted computer and finished molecule with 29 hits, I suck.. I need more hits.

Bookie my protein looks like that, too. It's a behemoth.

Right now I'm at 62% at 20 hours and 17 minutes with 96 hits... whatever that means to you.

Edit: The computer that ones on has a 97 out of 100 rating...that's a heck of a protein.

I just finished one of those Farn thingamajigs... I had 98% finished in 59.5 hours with 249 hits and then didn't pay attention.

I got (for probably over 60 hours working) 884 points .

I am now on Prot-Tyr-Phosphatase which seems to be quick, 3% and 1 hit in 6 mins. Looks a bit like RAF, but different shape and colours.

I dunno what these "hits" are, but I'm on hour 34 of "Anthrax Toxin (P.A.)" with 79% done...


(Scientists) are apolitical, supposedly, like civil servants--empiricists, who only wanted things managed in a rational scientific style, the greatest good for the greatest number, which ought to be fairly simple to arrange, if people were not so trapped in emotions, religions, governments, and other mass delusional systems of that sort.
