Ok last night I was at 75% and about 25 some hours when I went to bed I think or around there. Now this morning i look at it was at 40 hours and still at 75% so i was like okay. So I restarted my computer cause it was going kind've slow now I look at the time and It went back to 23 hours! What in the heck, why do i have to redo all of them hours now!?!?!?!??!

This is just a large WU. The program ONLY saves after it finishes a %. So if you are in the middle of a unit and reboot you will go back to the last % saved thus loosing how ever far you are in to the current WU.
I did find an addon that allows you to manualy save a WU in the middle. You can find it in their forums.

I am pretty sure that you can't save midway through a percent even with UD monitor... The backup feature that UD Monitor has was for the older versions of the agent... apparently those problems have now been fixed. I don't know what exactly those problems were but this is just stuff that I've heard going to their forums. It even says on that page: quote: This program's backup function saved a lot of processing time, during the times when the Agent was unstable and lost its progress on every computer hang or crash.
It has something to do with the way that the work unit is processed... the way the program runs in general that prevents such saving. Apparently there is a new version of the agent in development that allows saving more often but its still in its testing stages.

UD monitor doesn't save the time, it only backs up incase your comp crashes.

don't feel too bad - my first two (one on each system) were both 3 day jobs - they seem to be coming smaller temporarily now

M_E_W, I'm still watching. It stinks that your first result is taking so long. I hope you get a lot of points. Thanks for not giving up!
