How do I set it so that avatars above a certain size are not allowed? I don't want to use the force avatar size option, because that makes the small avatars all stretched out.

I set the option in the profile permission to 150x150 but I can still use a huge avatar that's far beyond that size.

I don't think you, as admin, would be limited to the size of your avatar.

I tried it on a test account. It allows me to have an avatar of any size.

There's no way for the code to determine the dimensions of an image, thus no way to enforce a size.

Ok, I'm a first time poster, so no flaming, remember? tipsy Also, I'm not an owner (odd story there), just a volunteer mod for a ubb board, but...

I am admin at another forum (with different software, admittedly). So, I understand about changing avatar sizes.

Is there not an option that allows you to control the file size, rather than the deminsions? If not, is there an easy way to make it?

Now that you say that, I have seen some forums with the ability to check size of avatar's that are being uploaded to the server (not remote); the UBB.Classic system (stock code) does not allow for uploading of avatar's by users... I do beleive there is a modification somewhere for this, possibly poke the author...
