I'm clueless on this one.

Whenever someone trys to login, it looks like it takes, but then when they go to post, it tells them they're not logged in.

I really have no clue.

The only thing out of the ordinary that I could find was this, in the CP:

This board was set up on October 13, 2001, -2080 days ago.

It should not be negative 2080 days

No matter what I rebuild in CP it doesn't solve the problem.

UBB 6.2.1 with several hacks.

Anyone even have a remote idea?

This sounds like it's either a cookie issue or a time issue on the user end.

Here at UBBDev a couple months ago, it'd tell me I was logged in, but it wouldn't let me do anything. Heck, it wouldn't even let me see the boards!

I finally cleared all the cookies, and I tried again. I was finally able to get in.

I don't know what it is about the cookies getting corrupted, but they sure do!

I don't think it's 'end-user' specific, because no user can do anything, so I'm pretty safe on ruling out the 'end-users' time issue theory

Now, on to the cookie theory. Are you telling me there's a cookie file that I'm missing somewhere? Like a .cgi or .pl file in the cgi-bin or ubb directories, or in the CP I missed? You kinda of lost me on that statement.

Thanks though! I'm gonna flip through the CP again and see if there's something I over looked.

well the prob is

- it was installed 2080 days ago...
* maybe you changed the date on your clock, its 2002 here as far as i know... so 2001 isn't in the future for me.. anyway...

- cookies are all expired, thats why it wont transfer them over onto the next page.

Solution: put your computers' date back to normal!

I had this problem also and I emailed the person I got my domain of and he said it was the cookies , it's because the URL is cloaked IE6 doesn't let you log in. You have to go into your Internet Properties and allow "third party" cookies to be accepted and then it should work fine .
