im kinda wondering what the GUI of ubb.portal will be. so today i set up a vBindex today to get a fell of forum/portals.

this is for my vbulletin. im doing custom templates for my new vB, which im ganna code and release forum ubb soon . so take a look at this and tell me how closely ubb.portal will be to this. ill break this down on the backend for ya

frist off the news is pulled from a forum which you can set up in the cp (think ubbnews) you can edit how many news post are shown etc. heres the topic the news is pulled from

im coding the news part futher to include avatars and other things. but lets move on

the poll is pulled from a forum that no one can see but me. its just a topic using the poll posted in it, you can have this forum open so people can comment on the poll

the Latest Threads can be configed to show how many you want.

are hacking in vBulletin but it would be nice to see that has a add-on to the portal (note: thoese are raw hits and not per-page)

I'd like a few things off the vB one on UBB, but then some original ideas of our own too.

You might want to point out what you want specifically in the feature requests thread to keep it all organized.

what i would like to see is something to allow you to make new pages from the cp. for example

you want a awards page. so in the cp you tell ubb to make a new file called awards.cgi, then it would make a custom template for the page (a default template) and you could then go to a template editer in the cp and custimize the page to your needs.

Everything I would have ever wanted in the portal has already been covered in that other thread.

I would like to be a big part of the way this thing looks.. believe me you won't be dissapointed.
