I ported jordos PM System to UBB 6.3 and added some modifications (New PM Color, Popup)

What's actually changed in this version from the 6.2 version..? The 6.2 version of the hack is running fine on my board

PM wav: "u have new mail" is finally working. I've removed the window.alert (popup) and put a bgsound src in it. Works perfect.

Can you pass me that wav file Dave?

Out of curiousity, how much of a resource drain is this compared to the regular PM inBox hack?

I am having trouble because in my CP i see no option for the New PM Color. And every time i try to update my style it says you need to enter a New Pm color but there is no such option. What should i do?

Lord Dexter, something went wrong with the PM i wrote you.
I guess it is 3 or 4 times in your box because of a strange PM behavior here. There was a delay and a flood penalty for 61 seconds...

Ok, cLK helped me to edit the Hack (User can choose, if they want a Popup, a Sound, or nothing).

We have some big problems now , but we'll try to fix it.

This version will be out, when we fixed the errors.

This is working reasonably well on my 6.3.0.
Sometimes when i click back from the PM Menu i get a null amount of pm's.

Appart from that all is cool

Hmmm - can't seem to get a "popup" no matter what I try

I used LK's script mod, everything else seems OK but not the popup.

I'm assuming my problem is somewhere in public_common.pl - is the hack final as yet?

I installed this, but like a couple others I cannot get a popup at all. Anyone have any ideas with this yet?

I've re-installed it on 6.3.0.1 but it doesn't work.

I have a question, tis installed on my board and it works dandy, however, if a member has a New PM it wont bring up a pop up or display 1 new pm till the user has refreshed forum summary or gone into a forum and back out.
Anyway to make it automatically pop up when a member immediately opens up forum summary? or did I hack it wrong?

It can be introduced in the JCTemplates, or is necessary to change some thing?

Because my forum all this in it, and would very like to place such add-on in it.

How much time is it going to take to the JC Template version to be released??

It does with JC Template. You just have to make slight alterations for the template files.
Can't think what they are at the moment, but make sure the bit for Private Messages Table in Forum_Summary is above $pntf_locations[1]

Erm... Slightly confused at the points where it asks you to modify the templates. Is the second part for people who have templates with more than one logout so that it doesn't pop up multiple times?

Is anyone working on this mod any more? Have the bugs been fixed? And before I go through all of the hassle, can someone tell me what this is going to look like in the end? ...What I'm looking for is for my PM box to be on my main forum page so that my members can see first off if they have messages or not. If they have to click on something to go somewhere else, what's the point? They have to do that now anyway...

This is a great mod. It worked perfectly, except I couldn't get the pop-up.

How do we embed the audio file to announce new mail? And where can we download the file from?

does this mod show you how many personal messages you have in the inbox, up near the 'Welcome user!" line?

There's several PM hacks, just wondered if this is the one that does it?

I have a problem woth the mod,

it keep showing that there is 1 new message inbox and when the user reads the PM and returns to the forum summary it still shows that there is 1 unread message, you have to log out and In again to refresh the PM system to 0

I run 6.3.0.1

It doesn't count since the last time you entered forum summary, but since the last time you opened your browser (works the same as the lightbulbs)
