snip1er - did you follow the directions at the end of the file for installing the wordlets mods. in particular what you find in ultimatebb.cgi may be a little different...

hey jordo, sorry to be off subject, but what hit mod are you using on your board? does it work with the cache? i keep waiting for slurpee to post his mod for that one, i'm anxious, fiendin!

guys does this mod works on Ultimate Bulletin BoardTM 6.1.0.2 ? Caus when I try to install it it is missing some lines, if anyone could help me out on msn or icq or something or would be willing to installl it for me *ooh so kind* that would be great

Spykie - ive installed it fine on 6.1.0.2 and 6.1.0.3... post the lines that are missing here, most likely another hack already replaced them with something else...

I get this error and cannont figure out the problem........

edit your style templates, and put the names in for the 2 graphics you uploaded.

Thank you for this hack!

When installing to UBB 6.1.0.3, heres 2 things that i noticed in the stickythreads6.1.0.txt

1. Mispelling of: respectivly --> respectively (don't mean to be an ass).

2. At the very end of the document, when installing the mods wordlet kit, the line is incorrect for UBB version 6.1.0.3

The existing line of stickythreads6.1.0.txt reads:
#########################
cp_common.pl (template)
#########################

# find:
document.writeln(" - Image Wordlet™ List");

But, the real line is:
document.writeln(" - Image Wordlet$trade List");

Notice the ™-->$trade wordletization.

Thank you again for this hack. And, would you mind if i put up a hack of my own which requires the sticky thread hack and reference your work? Perhaps direct the users to your webpage at jordodesigns to obtain the latest version of sticky threads?

and i dont mind at all if you write a hack that depends on this one.

Is their a way this feature can have a option for the members to select sticky for their messages instead just admin/mods?

What use is it if only admins/mods can use it?

Terminator, in ubb_topic_maint.cgi, sticky thread subs:
[code][/code]It shows up 3 times, I think.

Find:

}
Replace with:
=============

if ($is_one ne "true" && $username ne "user's_login_name") {
&StandardHTML($vars_wordlets_err{not_admin_or_mod});
}

Better double check your code LK. It does not work. I found that line 4 times.

Only admins and mods are only allowed to make stickys, not regular board members.

I think you skiped a few codes I notice repeat itself with all 4 lines.

# user must be an admin or mod

Well, actually I can, which is the source of my post. Is there/will there be a MultiHack version of this mod? I'm addicted.

If not, I'll go through it the old fashioned way, opening files one by one, copying and pasting, uphill, both ways...

I've installed this hack and everything's worked out fine except the top and Detop icons always come up as broken.

Every time I put the names of the files into the style templates page and then come back to it they're blank again. So the url of the icon changes from: "http://[insert url]/noncgi/[image]" to "http://[insert url]/noncgi/"

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance

check that the additions to cp_styles.cgi were done cleanly/correctly. redo them if necessary.

Missed out something in the cp_style.cgi guess I shouldn't try customizing stuff while I'm half asleep

I've just upgraded from a 6.2.1 to 6.3, and have patched it to include StickyThreads. While my old 6.2.1 worked fine, I have an odd problem with 6.3.

Everything appears to work fine until you hit the Top Topic button in a thread. Then, you're taken to a page that includes the bare-bones bits of a page (details at the top and bottom, credits etc. In the middle, though, you just get two radio buttons with no labels, and a tiny button gif. Hit the button, and your topic is topped if you select the upper radio button. And for some reason, the topic appears at the top with a colon next to it, rather than an icon. All images are correctly uploaded.

It's clearly a problem with the template - but I can't figure out what. Anyone got any ideas?

sounds like you dont have the modification wordlets mod installed. im not officially supporting 6.3 yet, but ill update this one for it once exams are over and i have a little more time on my hands.
