Lk quite a few Graphix forum use this Hide code
to hide web site templates and graphix from non registered user or simply by anyone lurking around.

in that way the webmaster or the author of the design can track and estimate how many user are going to use hiws image.

I was going to point out about trivia forums too.

There are more uses for hidden message hack.

I am getting a tripod error page when i click on the link.

i installed. It work. However , it didn't show the word like: you have to reply in order to see..blah..blah..

Right click the link and click save target as.

check your wordlets mods in your cp.

in my 6.2.1.1 my wordlets mods look like this

I think you have to add ' and ' bettween the first words in your wordlets_mods

BTW, if i click to Today Active Topic, i can see all. hehehe; therefore, this script is not 100% block it.

ELY_M the hack has a bug with the
"Today's Active Topics" page showing the hidden message......
apart of that seems to work well so far..

Many many tnx dude, was waiting for this one!

I ported it to a Multihack file and installed it and the hack works, however I do not see the Hide icon/button.
Can someone please give me some advice regarding which file/piece of code is responsible for the button implementation?

Excuse my stupididy but I have the advance code buttons installed, the code for the hide works properly but i cannot get the button to display properly or the java script to execute. what additonal things do i have to try? I have tried the obvious but now i have done so much that seemed "obvious" at the time i am going to have to uninstall and start over!!

I can't get this hack to work to save my life!

I thought it would be cool to use this hack for question/ans sessions but I have had no luck

For all users it shows them the hidden text right away without replying. It even says "Unhidden message for you" for them.

I undid and redid the hack twice but still have same exact problem. I have tried with 3 test accounts that have zero admin/mod rights and they also see the hidden text right away.

Any ideas??

have you update on your script yet?

Still can't get it work. I have sence added servral other hacks. So I tried this one again, and the first test worked! I got really excited then did a second and subsiquent tests and they all fail.

When I post a test thread people who look at the thread automatically see "Unhidden message for you test " Instead of the "Hidden message for you - You must reply".

I really don't get it.

nac you can not post cgi files like that so you got to remove them.

did you try to clear your cache ?

The Hide hack is still very buggy
at first i tought it was working perfectly but now after heavy testing i encounter a very bad BUG !

The hack is randomly not working with the php accellerator and cache

Most of the time the hack is hiding the hidden text but several time is not hiding it showing the full content untill i manually clear the cache in the cp

I triple checked my hacked files for errors and also tested on a fresh install of ubb 6.2.1.1 as i tought it mighted be a problem with other hack but i'm getting the same random bug......

Can you please try to verify and fix the problem ?

IS anyone else expiriencing problem?

nac as for you posting cgi is against infopop policy for you to post the actual cgi files revealing the full code of ubb
