Is this a hack for Administrators or for everyone to use?

Looks like the cosmetics (colors and table aligment) can be customized in the users.cgi file. I don't believe most users other than Admins or Mods will see it anyway.

You could copy what between my $mysearch=qq~ and ~;
In FrontPage and change the style in what ever you want. Any way I have change it to a new style you could check that now.

Looks nice but when I actually use it to do a search, for example, on a member there are problems..
After locating a user successfully, I then click on the username and this is what comes back:

Can't use string ("Forum7Moderator") as a SCALAR ref while "strict refs" in use at users.cgi line 1196.

BTW, I am an administrator of my board...

Ah never mind..I guess you programmed this not to do a successful search on mods or admins but rather just on regular members..Is this correct?? Maybe you should mention that in your modification if this is the case..

I did a search on a regular member and it worked perfectly...Nice job..You need to make it work with style templates though if this is possible..

I double posted..Sorry bout that :rolleyes:

###Above that add:

###Done with public_forum_summary.pl Save changes made###

###Open vars_wordlets.cgi###

###Look for:

%vars_wordlets = (

###Below that add:

'admin_search' => 'Admins Advanced Search',

###Done with vars_wordlets.cgi Save changes made###

Finally, upload both files and make sure files are properly CHMOD'ed...After that clear your cache in the control panel...

Done!!

This is an add on to wwb95s' The complete Search user profile hack...

What this does: It adds a link at the top of the main home page just above the 'logout' box...It evens out your board now with a link on the left and a link on the right...

So with that, here goes...

******************************************************************
Files to hack: public_forum_summary.pl and vars_wordlets.cgi
******************************************************************

###Open public_forum_summary.pl###

###Look for:

» $vars_wordlets{active_topics}
«

» $vars_wordlets{admin_search}
«
