I know this is not really a hack but I thought I'd post if for anyone who would want it.

name color/glow hack

It should work now as a zip file.

You could of put that just in a text file tipsy

to be more xhtml compliant it should be

I have the ported 6.05 edition working on my site. I ported it up about 2 and a half weeks ago.

I actually am pretty sure my 6.1 version will work on 6.2. Try it if you want.

It's in 6.1 Beta mod's, but I didn't get it to work with 6.2, in vars_registration, it's different...

I used to have the 6.05 version and it was the best looking one, in my opinion..I would love to have the ported up version...

i have this working on my board it is 6.2.0 and the only thing u have to change is a bit of code in ubb.lib.cgi
well that and u need the directions as well. laugh
if u like i can post it here what the only code u have to worry about.and for the other things i still have them from the ver 6.05 and they still work.

I had to make a small change in public_topic_page.pl and quite a few changes in vars_registration.cgi to make it compliant for 6.2.1.2

For example:
this:
'custom1_field_use' =>
instead of this:
custom1_field_use =>

this:
'customfield1' => '',
instead of this:
customfield1 => qq~~,

In vars_registration.cgi the following code is also wrong:

customfield1 => qq~Font Color color-table~,

and

customfield2 => qq~Glow Color color-table~,

A few code changes had to be made in this file.. What I used was:

'customfield1' => 'Font Color color-table',

and the same thing for 'customfield2' to get hex_code.htm to load...

Anyone have the fix for this line of code?? frown

Right now I have this mod working perfectly smile Just looking for the correct line of code mentioned above so that it is correct..

one thing i can say too all who plan to use this hack is to invest in getting beyond compare, that is what i used to get the differences in the files and it is a life saver sometimes as well.

Until Lord Dexter ports this one up or makes a more enhenced version, enjoy this fully working release originally created by 'michael'..It's probably not ported up 100% correctly, but it works perfectly for 6.2.1.2 boards..
