One question: How far off would it be for a user to pick their own colors for a custom style?

Yeah it would be great if the user could pick the colors they want.

No way, it will require turning cache off

Anyway, txt/mhx files updated - now it shows the correct template in PNTF.

does this hack also excist for ubb6.05. Because I have a problem with the resolution. And with this hack users can simple choose the style template for there resolution. Hope it excists...

Why are you still using 6.05? Upgrade.

Does the template change if you are using UBB Accelerator? Because when I have it Enable, the php pages show the defalt colors, but the cgi pages, show the template you are using..

we'll be putting together multihack files for most modifications, LK has done them already for all his I believe. Plus, 6.2 has quite a few integrated already... you might consider upgrading :0

but i got an error

everytime I uploaded it and rehacked it file after file

it tells me there is an error due to compilation in ultimatebb.cgi <--- I rehacked it several times everytime I get this answer...

If I upload an unhacked ultimatebb.cgi

it works perfectly but I can't chance the template..

does anyone have the same probleme?

My current board is 6.1.....

I'm installing the 6.2 board, working on the hacks, and will move messages over when done. Then, I'll delete the 6.1 and open the 6.2

Great hack & no problems. Our users love it.

I was wondering if you could give me some pointers.. I've been looking at an issue specific to our BB for days without luck. In general all of our forums have a different Title Graphic (for Products, etc..) & I've used styles to do this. So.. I'm looking for a way to get UBB to use the Title Graphic for the style associated to the forum regardless of the MyStyle style selected by the user.

I hope I've not posted this to the wrong place.

LK, in a nutshell, this ubb hack is the equivilent to the already present styles on the vb? If so, great! Been lookin for this hack!

Is this hack compatible with Newsfader 4.1??
Because when I install either hack seperately they work, but when I install them both my RV list vanishes and then appears at random times and dissapears too!

I have no other hacks installed at all!!!

For some reason or another, when I try to install this hack with the Multihack program, it caused Multihack to stop responding.

I tried a couple of hacks w/Multihack to make sure it wasn't a program issue, and none of them caused the problem.

I then thought that maybe the 3 files I didn't need hacked were causing the problem, so I removed them from the Multihack file.

Still had the problem of this hack causing the program not to respond. It seemed to freeze up right after the "replace" step in the ubb_profile.cgi

So I removed all the files that didn't install b4 it stop responding, and it worked.

Next, I decided to do some problem solving.

The first file I deleted out was the ubb_registration.cgi

I then tried the install with the others, IT WORKED! Cool beans!

For some reason or another, the ubb_registration.cgi caused my Multihackprogram to stop responding.

I hacked by hand the ubb_registration.cgi (btw, in the analysis, it said everything was good-to-go -- including w/the ubb_registration.cgi)

Uploaded everything where it needed to be, did the usual maintenance, and all I can say is

SWEET!

It works like a charm.

I have no idea why the ubb_registration.cgi caused my Multihack to stop responding, but I thought I should share what had happened in case others are dealing w/the same situation.

Oh, I forgot to add that I'm using the News Fader with my test board, too ... I have something like 20+ hacks installed right now, with MyStyle™ being the last one, and the MyStyle™ is working. (knock on wood! )

Headsup for LK and other contributors to this hack - 6.3 changes the way LoadTemplate and LoadStyleTemplate work. This hack will require signifigant reworking...

In your 6.1 version of the hack, I noticed an annoying bug(?) that when changing your template and updating your settings, I had the following FYI:

No such topic number exists!

Although it still updated everything swimmingly.

Has that been fixed if it ever was a bug? If it wasn't can you tell me what I did wrong to make sure I avoid it again

I'll make a backup of my board now, fully working. Install the hack and report back. If I don't have the same problem I'll believe you..

i ran into a small snaffuu

Mystyle is operating with the single exception that when you have selected a tempalte in your profile, the recent visitors box on the fourm summary main page sometimes shows up with the default tempaltes table colors, the font and text show up as per the selected template.

sometimes it even doenst show the recent visitors table on that page at all, then other times it works correctly, but less often than the errors do.

what did i hack wrong, or could one of my other hacks be interferring?

i have version 6.2.1.1
