This hack removes the dashed lines above the signature. I wasnt sure if this was a finnished mod or a beta mod. It has no cp interface. If its wrong then just move it to the correct forum.

This is my first hack

I hate to tell you this, but you can edit/delete the dashes in your Wordlets.

Yeah but when you reove all the dashes it displays an error that you did not complete all fields...

and if it would work, you did you would get too much space between the post and the signature.

the demo just proves the hack actually works. Would you install a hack not knowing if it worked or not?

But then again, as i explained before. You would get too much space between the post and the signature...

This hack is almost only for boards that use image in signatures. If you use text it might be confusing knowing whats signature and whats not.

And i dont care. I used 3 minutes on this hack... laugh

You don't understand what I meant... I think everybody should be able to imagine how this hack works if he takes a look at the code for 20 sec. But... No Matter, I don't want to argue...

I cant show it since my board is password protected because its for my family only. But just image you take away the dashed lines plus a line below it. So if it was text as a signature it would be displayed like this:

Post here. it can be long and nice and talk about stuff and...

Heres the signature.

So there you go.

On UBB 5.45c, I changed the
"---------------" to
"_______________"

and that messed up the Quote feature(it included the signature as well as the post in the quote which was annoying)

I dont know if its the same here..so Id like that cleared up before I install it.

Well i tested it at my board. I tried quotes and stuff and everything works fine. I use 6.02.

It shouldnt be a problem. I only reoved one small little thing. It takes away the dashed lines in both pm's and posts.

you could just use the wordlets to remove the dashed lines you know. just add a Null value to an html tag.

Example:

it works for me.

I can't explain this enough can I... Please read the posts before you post.

Answer: You would get blank space where the signature brake should be. With this hack it removes the dashed lines and removes the extra space you would get by using your method.

So in other words. This hack is almost only suited for boards with mainly picture signatures. Because if not people might get confused about what is the actual post and what is the signature.

Well I don't care. I think this 'hack' is useful. Maybe not for you, but for me it is.

I just thought It would help somebodyby posting this hack since I myself had been looking for it.

It's not a pointless hack, that was an unnecessary and noncontributory post on your part, G5...

Anything that makes UBB better, more appealing to the eye, more organized, is a GOOD THING. This hack removes excess space that was not considered in wordlet editing...

Keep up the good work, Nicolai! For the persons critical of the hack, you may want to heed this: If you can't say (or write) something nice, then keep your mouth shut (or fingers off the keyboard!).

'Nuff said.

Ya know, all you really have to do is find the primary wordlet for this, delete the dashed lines and add a space.

No errors will popup becuase, to the computer, a space IS a character.

This is a simple way to get around this problem.

BTW this isn't a useless mod; just think of it as a l33ter way to do the above. wink

Link is a 404. Since this is an easy hack, could someone just post the instructions here?

oh yeah the hack is no longer there. I've also lost the instructions so if anybody has them could you please give them to me or upload them or something?

Oh and I'm tired of saying this but whatever you put if it might be a space or a align tag or anything at all. you'll get a space where the dashed lines were. with my hack that space is removed. I cant believe that some people just cant read what has been said a thousand times... I mean. is it so hard to understand this? am I bad at explaining? I dont say everybody here are like that but yeah...

if you want that much space between the signature and the post, dont use this hack. if you dont want that space, use it. thank you.
