Name: HyperCells Hack with CP Control
Version: v2.0 (works with UBB v6.01-6.04x)
What does is it do?
Makes the background color of the 'main' cells in the forum summary, topic list and search results pages change color when the user mouses over them and makes the full cell a link to the appropriate page.

It has been tested on vers6.01-6.04 and works great. I was tempted to put this straight in the finished mods forum but I wanted to see if you guys can help make it better or suggest some fixes.

All Style Settings are made in the control panel so you can set the cell colors and cursors there and they can be different per saved style. You can even turn it off or on now

Bugfixes:

No real bugs found yet, just re-worded the install docs so that
other people do not overwrite other hacks they have may installed.

Hey I used the .shw fiel and installed uploaded clear cache the whole deal but when i go into the style templates.... I get undefined &RadioFieldHyp, &cursor -- wat do i do to fix it thanks

when you ran the shw file, did it give you the successful install message?

what version is your ubb?

I just ran it against a fresh 6.04d and it is working fine.

If you use the shw file do it in this order.
point it toward your Template folder then your cgi folder.

I just downloaded a fresh copy of 6.04d and I don't see that line in there?!!? I also unzipped an old copy of 6.04c and did not see it there either.

Couple questions:

What hacks do you already have installed on your board?

Are you by chance upgrading each time with Beyond Compare or something? (wondering if this is left from an older release)

Yes, I did use BC to upgrade. This must be why it's in my test version which is 6.04d.

That's all I can think of. If I need to just install update v6.04d and reach it all, I can do it... I may anyway as I really want to add Q's version of WOL.

First of all freakscene great hack !!!
It works fine 4 me but 1 thing do, I run 6.04b and the on the front it works great but when I go to the a Form the row where the Topic Subjects are does not higlight and the last post does?

Does any one knows what did go wrong?

I have a sneaky feeling that that line is from the Anchor Hack so you may want to leave it in there. I can't access any h-realms sites from home (which is strange because MasterMind uses RoadRunner too) so I can't check the instructions for that line. I'll look when I get to work in a few minutes

was added in 6.03 so when installing it was added to the next cell instead.
Undo changes you made to the public_forum_page.pl (Template)
then make the changes again (keeping in mind that you will not find the afore mentioned code).
*To Make sure you are changing the right code look for this link "$vars_config{CGIURL}/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=$in{f}&t=$one" to be in the cell you apply the code to.

You may want to upgrade too, 6.02 has a lil' security issue.

yep, that is what it looked like in ver 6.02.

just remove the line that was added (couple posts up) from your copy of the instructions (both in the find and add section) and add the HyperCells code to that section of the template.
*Don't forget to remove the bad code in the cell.

I checked the anchor hack and it is not from that... Where is the Topic Started On mod? Could not find it in the beta or finished forum via search.

You may want to try to just add that line into the text you are going to replace that section with. It won't cause any issues since this mod just adds a style to a table tag.

Thanks I see that the problem is in the public_forum_page.pl, you told me to remove the bad code, but call me stupid..**lol** but where is the bad code?

The 'bad' code is the HyperCell code that was added to the table cell that displays the topic starter. Remove the HyperCell changes from here.

The 'targeted' cell is the one above it. This is the correct location to administer the changes.

It has to be right like this but only the right cells higlight in the topics page not the Topics itself on the left.

This hack (with the exception of the addon) does not affect the cell that the last reply by mod does. (I have both on my board)

Follow the previous instructions of removing that code and adding it in the correct cell (should be 2 cells up from there) and you should be fine

I looked everywhere for the "Replied On" hack, but couldn't find it either. It did exist because even UBB Dev is using it. I hope I'm not out of line here, but here is the hack:

So, there is that line of code. Hehe, good thing I didn't remove it. Any suggestions of how I can mesh them together? Your hack and the one above?

When I try to install it using script hack, it says that there was a loading error: doen't look like a SHW file. What do I do?

Strange indeed. I just installed again to test and it worked fine. Make sure you have the latest version of SHW and try it again (possibly reboot if you just installed the program).

Check your email, I corrected and returned that template. You had made the changes 2 tables cells later than planned
