hey DPK,
i'm still having troubles tough with some of my smilies:

One of them should look like this: > : ) (<-- had to seperate or else UBBdev.com would mess it up)
but instead; UBB posts it like this: > smile

I added the required fields im ubb_lib.cgi
as described on page 12 of this topic

But it still messes up..

Oh yeah: here's a view of vars_smile.cgi:

Code
code:

(Then again.. I had to seperate some smilies here (i'm talking about devil.gif/puh2.gif/frusty.gif))
Tnx in advance...

eGo: Reason is that you have the smile smilie before the >:) smilie. Switch the two around in your settings and it should display right. When the smilies on your forum are converted from text -> images, it sees the smile first and converts it before it gets down to >:). If that makes sense.

snip1er: Working on it, sorry for the delay.

I fixed my own problem listed below:

Code
code:

Turns out it was a hack I installed which added the HIDE message box in the New Topic page.... I removed it's code from the Page Header, and poof, problem solved.

Try this Loads of Smilies .

It's the link to a zip which contains all the smilies they got there. The site is in German tho.

I saw a different mod where the smilies open in a separate window so you can collect hundreds of them. What is the max number of you can insert with this mod before it starts to make the post page look odd?

Here there is also a popup window. You can choose to show the "Instant Graemlins" part like a dropdown field, and there will also be a link to the popup window.

DPK..I noticed that there is a minor bug in this program..It's only a visual one and only noticable to the control panel users..

Here it is: First of all I upped a lot of smilies to my smilie folder..I then selected all smilies to be added..Later in the week I upped more smilies that I found and liked into that same directory and this is what I viewed after clicking the "View Smilie Directory" link in the CP: [Linked Image] Notice the blue bars marked yes..What is causing this??? I also noticed that when upping more smilies and then adding them to the smilie list, the new new smilies are added at the bottom of the list rather than in alphabetical order..This screws up the alphabetical order of the smilies verytime you up more smilies and add them to the list..
I can live with this little quirk but it would be nice to see in alphabetical order..

Another feature that would be nice is a resizable popup box rather than the fixed size that you have now..Most smilies are not well visible if filenames are long..

Here is a nice thing to know if anyone would like to resize the smilie popup box:

********Open public_common.pl (template)

********Look for:

window.open('$vars_config{CGIURL}/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=smilie_legend', 'smlegend', 'scrollbars,width=220,height=400,left=200,top=200')
---------------------------------------------
Change the 'width=220' value and the 'height=400' value to anything you want..I used 280 for both width & height values..This works real good for me...
---------------------------------------------

********Replace with this:

window.open('$vars_config{CGIURL}/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=smilie_legend', 'smlegend', 'scrollbars,width=280,height=280,left=200,top=200')

Never mind DPK.. I figured out how to get rid of the blue 'yes' bars..I simply deleted all smilies from the list and then later added all of them again from the 'Check Smilie Directory' link..This not only got rid of the blue 'yes' bars but also put "all" smilies back in alphabetical order again..Now that was easy laugh laugh

Okay, I have the 1.5.2 Multihack, and on two different machines I get the same error, doe's not appear to be valid.....

What else can be causing this error? This is the only hack that does this.

Hey, DPK, how about something along the lines of 'categories' for smilies?

I want to add a lot of smilies, but am worried slightly since it will be a mess for people to go through around 2-300 smilies looking for one.

I want to add as many smilies as possible, even pokemon or other stuff, even if people dont want to use them, there is still an option smile

Y'know how you can bring up a pop up window?
I'm wondering if that can have links to other folders (categories) within the smilies folder, defined within the CP.
Also, if the pop up window can be resized by the user that'd be great, thx smile

There we go, v1.1 released.

v1.2 will have some of the newer ideas I wanted to do in it for ubb 6.1. All my efforts will now goto ubb 6.1 mod development.

Does anybody have a board where I can actually see an example of this hack working?

Everybody seems to have 'registered' users required and I just want to get a look at how it integrates without that crap =).

Hi there. Having a problem with the smilies being displayed in the instant graemlins section. They are all fine except one displays es/null.gif" border="0">ck="DoSmilie(' :zx11pissed: ');">

I assume thats a html error somewhere, perhaps it should be .... "smilies/null.gif".... etc etc..., so it looks like ive done a carriage return somewhere and sent half of a line of code to the next line.

Any ideas where I can fix this? I've had a look and can't find the string anywhere...
