Hey, when installing the vars_wordlets_mod.cgi in the ultimatebb.cgi there isnt a line that says "use vars qw(%vars_wordlets_mods);" so I can't install it. What do I do?

The line you posted that you couldn't find is what you post into the file, not what you need to find.

So i guess the deal is just too look closely!

Found a little bug: I use the ssi call to display it on my homepage. I turned record book on but the ssi call supress the month of the record. Output shows as follows:

Hmm...I'd say the WOL Templates aren't installed properly..
Did you use the "Install_Templates" Feature?

i have ubb 6.0, i just spent an hour installing this, i clicked on the install button thing, but it said i had an error in line 0 and i had to do it manually, so i went through and did it manually for like an hour, then did the install templates thing, and it said it was a success. the cp.cgi worked fine.

except when i went to the ultimatebb.cgi to look at the board, it said i had compliation errors and the board wouldn't work.

this put me into a depression.

does anyone know what i did wrong? or what i can do to just click the instal button and half this done quickly.

Yeah you'll need to upgrade for it to work.
Try getting an older version of it if you can't upgrade...

Hi, I have a 6.1.0.3 but am working on a 6.05 for test purposes. I went to Qasic's new site (nice new design) and the zip name is 4.[1].0 which worried me if it was meant to be for ubb 6x (yes I checked for the right WOL version) but the zip didn;t seem to include cp_whos_online and cp_vars_whos_online ........

Am I stupid? (I haven't read any pages, sorry, before this.)

um, help?

They aren't included, they are automatically installed using the "Install Templates" feature in ultimatebb_whos_online_install.cgi.

Hi,

I've just installed this hack and after that I get a software error of my board. I looked 2 times through the documentation of Who's Online, but I didn't find the error!

Please help! It's very important!

Here is my board: BeetleFun.de

I think it has got something to do with the first lines in ultimatebb.cgi

They look like this:
#use strict;
use Fcntl ':flock';
use CGI::Carp qw(fatalsToBrowser carpout);
use CGI qw(:cgi-lib :standard);
use vars qw(%vars_whos_online @Ell_cookie $invisible_pref $who_online_subject $whos_online_name_of_forum @whos_online_stats $whos_online_exact_path @whos_online_forum $whos_online_invisible @whos_online_this_topic @people);
use vars qw(%vars_chat);
#use vars qw(%vars_config %vars_misc %vars_registration %vars_forums %vars_styles %vars_display %vars_style %vars_email %vars_time %vars_search %common_words %vars_wordlets %vars_wordlets_err %vars_wordlets_email %vars_wordlets_img %vars_wordlets_date @ubber %vars_pm %GotTime @memberslist @login @session $username $password $last_login_dt $session_login_dt $last_login_j $session_login_j $days_prune $InfopopCopyright $ThisHTML %in %ProfileNumber $memlistopen $CurrentTab %template $template %template_match $Hiddens $Legend $LoginWording $LastLoginTime $MainButtonsLine $TableWidth2 $ContactLine $pubname $user_topic_view $user_number $direct_to $exact_path $TBT $TBB $Header $Footer $EmailHeader $show_logout $instant_jscript %weights $title_wording @memberslist_array $memlistopen $version $version_number $cache_cookie %member_profile $masterCharset);

Is that ok?

Bye

Howdy.

I asked this in the Calendar forum, but... didn't get the response I needed, so I figured I'd post it here as well.

Are there people using the Calendar as well as Who's On? I installed Who's On (works like a charm by the way, it's great!), but... when I tried installed the Calendar feature, Who's On just disappeared. Completely. From the board, from the Control Panel... I tried to install it again afterwards, said it was already there. I brought the back up, Who's On started working again, and when I tried installing the Calendar again, still no dice.

Are there any compability issues? From what I saw of the code, there was the bit when the stuff after the 'data' line is added in that's similar on both, I think it has to do with the SSI, but otherwise... well, hacking isn't my forte.

Any word on this would be much appreciated, thanks! Personally, I prefer Who's Online over the Calender feature, but ... well, having both would be nice laugh

I've had them both working perfectly. So In your case I have no idea whats wrong. Maybe you are using files that do not have the WOL code in them when your hacking the Calendar in.

I'm very confused... any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Somehow I have 2 instances of who's online on the top of my pages. I only want one. Somehow it inserted a second under my calendar box and I think it was supposed to have gone at the bottom of the page before the other calendar box.

I'm trying to figure out which file I duplicated the code in, if that's what happened. Or which file I need to edit and how to edit it to move the 2nd Who's Online to the bottom of the page.

CarbHealth Forums

Does anyone know which file dictates the viewing of this? It shows up doubled in all of the separate forums as well.

THANKS SO MUCH! This has been driving me nuts for a couple of weeks.

Anyone know where I can download an Older Version of Who's Online, I remember and older version working with my older board and when I upgraded to 4.0 it did the same thing it's doing now (which I reverted back to the older version).

You need to follow the whole Installation. Not just step 3.

And you can't download older versions anymore, they aren't avaialable.

Yeah, I did the whole installation a while ago. I mean, dozen's of my modded hacks already use vars_wordlets_mods.cgi and they all work fine, so I'm pretty sure it works. I didn't trust the installer, so I did a manual install and compared the modded files of the installer and the ones I modded manually. Both were exactly the same, I don't see the problem. All the other hacks work perfectly except this, It's very strange.
